Community Guidelines
NorthGate Homeschool Co-op intends to provide an enriching educational, social, and spiritual community for all participants, children and parents alike. The following guidelines are meant to help all participants thrive and enjoy their experience as part of the NorthGate Homeschool Co-op:
(1) NorthGate Christian Community has graciously allowed the use of their facility as a meeting space. While this co-op is not managed by NorthGate Christian Community, they maintain the right to refuse use of the space to any group in violation of their standards of operation. Members of NorthGate Homeschool Co-op are asked to be respectful of the faith and values of NorthGate Christian Community when participating in co-op events. To learn more about NorthGate Christian Community please visit www.northgatebuffalo.com.
(2) The leaders of NorthGate Homeschool Co-op are motivated by our Christian faith to provide our children with a great education. While members of NorthGate Homeschool Co-op are not required to sign a statement of faith, please be aware that Christian messages and Scripture may be used during group learning times, especially in our shared devotional time at the beginning of our meetings.
(3) In keeping with the principle of sowing and reaping, each participant will gain from the group what they invest. Parents are asked to remain on the grounds during co-op events and facilitate student participation in events through volunteering to teach, assist in the classroom, and/or provide childcare for younger children, as well as setup and clean-up. NorthGate Homeschool Co-op is an “all hands on deck” co-op where all members will contribute to the success of the group.
(4) All students are welcome to participate. Students should come to the co-op prepared to participate and engage fully in group classes and activities and will be expected to interact respectfully with instructors and classmates. If accommodations are needed for learning, behavioral, or health differences, please let leadership know during the registration process so appropriate adjustments can be made.
